Restore Purchases

If you reinstall Scholar, move to a new iPhone, or want to use an eligible Scholar Pro purchase on another device, you can ask the App Store to restore it.

Scholar does not require a Scholar account. Purchases are processed by Apple and associated with the Apple Account used for the original transaction.

How to Restore

1. Open Scholar on your iPhone.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Select Scholar Pro.
4. Tap Restore Purchase.
5. Authenticate with Apple if prompted.

Restoring does not start a new purchase, and the restore action itself does not create a charge. Scholar will unlock any active subscription or eligible non-consumable purchase that Apple reports for the Apple Account currently being used for App Store purchases.

What a Restore Includes

A restore can recover eligible access to Scholar Pro, including an active subscription or lifetime purchase.

A restore does not recover your classes, assignments, schedules, study decks, flashcards, notes, or progress. Scholar stores that information locally on your device and does not currently sync it through a Scholar account or Scholar-operated server.

Troubleshooting

If your purchase does not restore:

1. Make sure your iPhone is connected to the internet.
2. Confirm that you are using the same Apple Account that made the original purchase.
3. Check that the purchase appears in your Apple purchase history.
4. Confirm that the subscription is still active or that the purchase has not been refunded or revoked.
5. Make sure in-app purchases are allowed on your device.
6. Close and reopen Scholar, restart your iPhone, and try Restore Purchase again.

If Apple shows an eligible Scholar Pro purchase but Scholar still does not unlock it, please contact us. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Scholar version, and the approximate purchase date. Do not send your Apple Account password, payment-card details, or other sensitive financial information.
